Computers and craze
A sight at the Forum some days back.
I was going out of the rest room after using it. There was this kid who was using a urinal that was near the door. I noticed him because I thought the kid uttered, as if replying to a question, "RAM... Random Access Memory". "Very good! ROM?", there was this guy, apparently the kid's father, who was standing outside, just next to the door. The kid was simultaneously attending to his nature's call as well as his father's viva voce. I crossed over the father in dismay, but wanted to tell him this. "Dude, at least let the kid enjoy his catharsis!".
I don't intend to undermine the capability of computers. But what is so essential about computers that 8 year olds *have* to know all the details? In fact, computers have been there since too long. They are boring. Let the kids alone. Let them invent something cooler.
