Nostalgia...!

There is a time in your life
When you want to ditch‭
the mundane business of building
wet yet cozy houses for sparrows
You want to change diapers...
You barter...
Perhaps for the ones with wings.
Chasing butterflies‭ ‬transpires
to be chasing colourful dreams
The wings help,‭ ‬of course
and the diapers too...covering
potence,‭ ‬passion and‭ ‬..ashes...
Then comes a time when you‭
are poised on the horizon of an
announcement..‭ ‬a proclamation...
a fruitful manifestation of all the
blood that has boiled without subliming
the semi-solid life that has spilled away
without spawning a single life.
But precisely at that poignant moment
a chill creeps up your spine
the chill of history...
The umbilical cord that was detached
in the gloomy ward of an old maternity home
that was lying in a cold dust bin
springs up to your neck,‭ ‬wraps around
and chokes you...
The tiny corteges‭ ‬of so many silly little
dreams that you had killed because‭
you were ashamed of dreaming those,‭
come back in a parade,
gather round you
and start dancing in tandem
They know the steps
all... know them all..
And do they resonate?
They resonate with the past
Resonate with nostalgia

(incomplete, and shall remain so....)

Good one. I am writing this just because I liked what you have written... not to "comment". I don't know what to say. Would "Nice..." be good enough?

It seems that you are totally confused. You are stuck in the middle of time and space and not able to decide whether to move back in time or letting go of those chains and move on ?

Decide??!! there's no question of deciding. the poem is just a matter-of-factly kind of expression. it's not the poet's confusion. one of the abilities of a writer is in rendering chaos, dilemma, vagueness, confusion blah blah thru his expressions. If u have found the confusion, the dilemma or whatever u r stating, then poet is kind of done his job! that's his success.

By the way, by 'the poem' i meant 'this poem'.

not just of a writer my dear ... its the ability of an artist ;).

True. But right now we are talking about me. I mean at least u r.

those were the comments given a by a very good painter (another artist so to say ;)

i have not used any qualifiers. i just had given a slight hint that i m a writer.
good. the more u assume the less u r. :-))
go aheaaaaadddd.....

mr patil i dont write ... neways so less of what ?

"...less of what?" hahah :-)) =)) u already forgot what u do??!! u already forgot that u r a *very good* painter??!! I am thoroughly amused....

"bas karen" he just said that to me right so ... i wont comment ;)

Well, Mr/Ms (choose what you like) Painter, you are just running away from the arena. I have never seen an artist calling himself/herself one.... and certainly not one calling himself/herself "very good"! Its a bit like Shah Rukh Khan calling himself the "Baadshah of Bollywood"... and we all know, that the moron is far from being an artist. So, if you are an artist, wait for the others to say so. Ok? Sanket, sorry for polluting your blog with that moron's name.

Thank you!
